Chinese For Christ Church of Hayward is seeking a full-time youth pastor or minister with a strong calling to serve an English-speaking, Asian-American youth ministry. We are a non-denominational, evangelical church located in the East Bay Area of San Francisco in Northern California.
Candidate Requirements:
• Called to be a pastor, serving junior high and senior high school students and their families.
• Strong communication skills, with English as his/her primary language.
• Develop healthy relationships with students and their families.
• Able to be a strong spiritual role model for students.
• Able to work well with the pastoral staff and church leadership, to fully integrate the youth ministry with the church.
• Familiarity with Asian-American culture.
• Education requirement: Master of Divinity degree (or equivalent).
• Faith and beliefs consistent with the doctrine of Chinese For Christ Church of Hayward.
Statement of Faith for Chinese For Christ Church of Hayward:
• We believe that all things are created by God. We believe that the Godhead eternally exists in three persons - the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit - and that these three are one God.
• We believe that "all Scripture is given by the inspiration of God." We believe that the Bible is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct of the Christian life.
• We believe that Jesus Christ, our Lord, is the only Son of God. We believe in His virgin birth, atoning death, and bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
• We believe the truth of "justification by faith." We are saved by the grace of Jesus Christ.
• We believe in the one Holy Universal Church, which is the Body of Christ and to which all believers belong, and in its mission to witness concerning its Head, Jesus Christ, preaching the gospel to all nations.
• We believe that baptism and the Lord's Supper are the two most important sacraments and ordinances of the Church, and that they are the scriptural means of the testimony for the Church in this age.

• English Ministry: The Crossing is an English-speaking, multi-ethnic ministry where generations worship, fellowship, grow and serve together, crossing age and cultural barriers, reaching and transforming the people of the East Bay Area into authentic and passionate followers of Jesus Christ.
• Youth Ministry: Footprints! is a spiritual community of students who challenge each other to choose the risky, narrow path of real life in Christ together.
